A Day of Service at GFSC
Representatives from Students Today, Leaders Forever and Harrah’s Dynamic Leadership Series gave a day of service to the shelter on March 13th. Their main task was to paint all bedrooms inside the shelter then perform some interior and exterior cosmetic work.
Students stayed at First Baptist Church and managed to see the local attractions including the Superman Statue. Their week of service, in lieu of a typical spring break, continued with work in Tennessee and Texas before their return to Bloomington, Illinois.

Our deepest gratitude is extended to Harrah’s Supervisors and the students for all of their hard work!

We are always looking for some wonderful volunteers to work in the shelter or at our fundraising events.
