"My boyfriend pushed me down and kicked and stomped my face. I called 911 and when I got to the hospital, both sides of my jaw were literally hanging in my skin. I needed 4 plates, arch bars, and had to wire my jaw shut. I was in surgery for 8 hours. The staff at Guardian Family Services came to pick me up and assisted me with getting an Emergency Order of Protection. I was too scared to go anywhere else, so I stayed at the shelter. They have helped me so much with getting to doctors appointments, going to court, and standing beside me through all of this. My abuser is now behind bars and I am relieved and thankful for GFS"             ---Client D.
